Hi there! My name is Krishna Patel. I hail from Houston, Texas and currently live in the tech epicenter of San Francisco, California. As this city would have it, my passions lie in tech, content creation, communications strategy, and optimizing products and user experiences.
The real reason why you’re here is because I find sustenance in music. I can’t afford to go without it. We all love and consume music in some shape or form because it’s the only universal language through which we all identify with one another.
But our generation is all about quick consumption and instant gratification. How do we cater to shorter attention spans and listen to music with a little more purpose?
I hope to inject some meaning and deliver social impact in the music arena. You’ll be invited to question, care, and think about a major music news headline as it relates to our world’s current affairs, issues, and hot topics. You’ll also get your fix of song, artist, and album recommendations and pop culture music news in quick, digestible chunks.
So, what do I do when I’m not reading up on music news and blogging? By day, my professional endeavors include strategizing with clients on effective employee communications delivery. By day and night, I am a music enthusiast, and with all the ways in which music carries me, I dare you to find a day when I go without music. With its nearly 24/7 presence in my life, I am able to:
- peel myself out of bed in the mornings
- maintain my sanity at work
- find my Bay Area commutes enjoyable (or bearable)
- get my heart rate elevated at the gym
- stay hungry, curious, and creative by learning new skills
- derive inspiration for every facet of my life
- relieve myself of worldly pangs
- curate weekly mixtapes for this blog (7/11 to Beat), for GuideSpark (CSMixtape), and for Hidden Grounds (HG Basement Beats)
- jam out at concerts
- rock myself to sleep
I hope that gives you a quick glimpse into my music-filled heart and mind. I’m ecstatic about this sweet-sounding adventure, and I hope you tune in for the ride!
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. – Bob Marley
